U.S EMBASSY MISSION GRANTS(YAAN BENUE) STORMS BENUE-WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME(TRAINING AND WORKSHOP)

YAAN is a group of youth from the KL-YES program who are committed to making the change they want to see in their society as well as that which will bring development and support to the society through empowerment.They carry out community service projects and offer voluntary services.

This empowerment program of 2017 is sponsored by the UNITED STATES embassy through their mission grant program,they project goal is to empower the women financially through an entrepreneurship training program that will teach them
  • HOW TO MAKE LIQUID SOAP
  • HOW TO MAKE VASELINE
  • HOW TO MAKE SHAMPOO
with the aim of aiding them start up a business with the knowledge of how to make all the above mentioned products to help carter for themselves and support their children in school.
They Empowerment program is going to last for a period of  3 month which began MARCH 2017 and will  end by MAY 2017...an approximated number of 60 participants is recorded,training will be in 3 batches of 20 participants each.
The people of Nyambee community of North Bank will ever remain grateful for being lucky to have had such an opportunity.their words of appreciation has never ceased since the beginning of the IRIS program.
